I have several years’ experience doing regular translation work for well-known fashion and jewellery brands in the luxury sector, translating a wide range of texts from product descriptions to web content (FAQ, Delivery/Returns), newsletters, customer messages and magazine articles.

As a passionate knitter and sewist since childhood, textiles also play a big part in my free time. Knitting is my biggest hobby, and apart from translating I exercise my creative muscles by designing and publishing my own knitting patterns. This not only helps to further strengthen my visual and technical imagination, but is also an excellent training for formulating complex instructions in a clear, coherent manner.

My interest in textiles also led me to develop a specialised Italian-German translation dictionary on fabrics as part of my Master’s in Translation Studies, which allowed me to gain a solid technical knowledge of spinning and weaving.
